VOA’s “Adopt a Home” program in Tennessee counts on generous community partners who help us support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. From holiday gifts to special surprises to helping us maintain and improve our homes, we count on the support of partners like Nissan in Nashville.
For Kurt Watson, who has been a leader for Nissan’s generous community partnership with VOA, the program has been a perfect way not only to support people with disabilities, but to build his employees’ sense of purpose and connection.
“It is so positive that every year people are asking me, ‘when are we going to get the list? When are we going to go shopping? It just works out well for everyone,” Kurt said. Nissan and Kurt do even more -- they are also a major sponsor of VOA’s Tournament of Champions. Kurt helps to plan and promote the event, recruit golfers and make sure this essential Nashville event is bigger and better every year.
“With Volunteers of America, you can rest assured that your support is getting to the people who need it,” Kurt said.
